Site Mapping of Shanghai Laogang Waste Incineration Plant

2024-05-10

At the invitation of the customer, we sent our technical experts to Shanghai Laogang Waste Incineration Plant to carry out full-size mapping and chemical composition analysis of the grates, grate beams, partition castings and other fittings. According to the wear and tear situation of the grate and the maintenance situation of the parts in the furnace, we provide optimised solutions to the site staff.

Among them, the material of some products was changed. For locations that are prone to breakage due to severe impacts, we propose to change the grate from the original wear-resistant material DIN 1.4743 to the highly ductile and abrasion-resistant DIN 1.4823, which, at a small uplift in cost, will significantly increase the service life of the grate.

DIN 1.4823 and DIN 1.4743 are two different types of stainless steel with some differences in mechanical properties.

DIN 1.4823 is a heat resistant stainless steel with good heat and corrosion resistance. It is usually used in high temperature environments, so its mechanical properties are mainly concerned with stability and strength at high temperatures. This material usually has high tensile strength and fatigue resistance, as well as good oxidation resistance.

DIN 1.4743 is a corrosion resistant stainless steel with good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. It is often used in areas such as chemical engineering, marine engineering and food processing, so its mechanical properties are mainly focused on corrosion resistance and strength. This material usually has good tensile strength, impact resistance and wear resistance.
